In Sync

him and i were one of a kind.
he laughed when I laughed, he cried when I cried.
he knew my pains and I knew his,
we were two peas in a love pod.
Our souls were in sync, our heartbeats flowed together. I was convinced God made you specifically for me.
But you left and my soul is empty
but my bed still cries your name, my sheets remember your scent,
and the black lace thong you used to love still longs for you.
you left
and the universe we created together fell to pieces and I ran around frantically trying to put everything back together, keep everything the same in case you decided to show up one day.
