Recharge
Sitting in the grass with my eyes closed
Just taking in all the peaceful bliss
The chilled wind against my skin
Sounds of morning birds singing
With a wonderful dewy smell filling the air
This moment just takes me away, far away
Away from all the unspoken hurt
To a place in the world that is still beautiful
Seems so long since I experienced this, must be too good to be true
Times like these only happen when I’m sleeping, dreaming
So I open my eyes to see
A view you can only imagine in paintings
Trees with green leaves, and flowers in the garden
With the sun complementing the scenery, beautifully
It puts a smile on my face to know
Such beauty still exist
May only be temporary peace
But it’s a wonderful way to recharge the old batteries
