Morning Storm
I'm listening to a storm this morning,
There is rain against the splinters
And thunder echoing through a field of lightning,
Such an ordinary thing, the morning storm;
Peaceful, unrelenting, unaltered; the storm's divine,
I like it here, it's quiet and comforting,
Where there are no flashes, there is darkness still.
There is rain against the splinters
And thunder echoing through a field of lightning,
Such an ordinary thing, the morning storm;
Peaceful, unrelenting, unaltered; the storm's divine,
I like it here, it's quiet and comforting,
Where there are no flashes, there is darkness still.

The spring storm. I don't like it to rain too long, and it hasn't been, but the flashes and boom crackles; I just love them.

You’re like a lemon drop.
I’m grateful for the rain, lemon drops
& warm hearts in soft bedspreads.
Your comments are thoughtful and I appreciate it.

I use an app to simulate this effect. I love the sound of a storm. It helps me relax.

That made me chuckle. :) There's an app for that? I use sound machines sometimes. I do that or listen to the Om of Tibetan Monks.

Im not quite right in the head, but I think a lot of folks are like that, in that if a storm is rolling in then we're the ones heading outside to feel the atmosphere. I opened a door once when I was a kid just in time for a bolt of lightning to strike in front of the screen. It took about five minutes for the white to pass, and the hyperventilation. :) Lightning has found and chased me a few times though. It hasn't scarred me yet. Thank you Atakti for your awesome comments.
