In The Flames
Naked dancer moving
In the flames that light your eyes
Her body graceful with a trust
Almost painful to the eyes
She does not care that she is bare
To all who watch inspired
She only knows her soul is clothed
In the One who stokes her fire
She does not speak, she knows the need
For silence in this hour
For she is Joy and she is Life
Her gifts the dance empowers
When she turns you catch the burn
Look not for long, you fear
Your heart may pound, but know the sound
Of the One who brought her here
In forest night her dance ignites
With her silent siren’s song
You dare not stay, you go your way
You have lingered far too long
Who is this girl who owns the world
And makes you tremble still
You do not know and truth be told
She is His—you never will.
In the flames that light your eyes
