My Turn to Dream

When my kids were small
I taught them how to believe

I taught them how to believe...
In the unseen
I taught them how to meditate...
I taught them how to dream.

Now.. they are all grown up
living good lives... learning
how to live free

Now I am the one...
who needs to be reminded
of how to dream...

Some days I loose my way
and can't find that rooted
side of me...

Sometimes I need reminded
of how not to
loose track of my dreams

Wistfully I look into the Mirror
small smile at the corners of my face
As I remember telling my kids
How slow and steady wins the race

So I swallow back my anxious tears
to remember what I've taught.. as well as learned

I try to remember not to be hard on myself
Patience helps the heart not to burn

So much I desire...
Yet so much must be earned...

I pace myself now...
as I can feel a Miracle of Sorts
In my atmosphere...

I strive to quiet my soul now...
I strive to quell my fears

I see the Vision...Behind the Confusion
I see my Dreams materializing
I have... No Delusion

When my kids were small
I watered there dreams

Now.. I have to till the seeds
That Live in me...
