She Wants To Love Him

So many disappointments,
So many lies,
She's been able to hide it,
But she's truly damaged inside.

So many wasted tears
The little love she had was thrown to the wind.
Even if she's afraid,
She wants to love him.

He surprises her with words.
and overwhelmed her with charm.
His confession felt so true and sincere,
and as he held her, she was mystified by his warmth.

She's afraid... so terribly terrified.
She's more afraid than she's ever been.
She's afraid that she might not be enough.
But she really wants to love him.

He wants her just as she is.
But she's heard that line before.
She wants to trust and believe him,
But she isn't very sure.

He's too charming,
And she's so broken that it ain't even a funny thing.
His kindness and patience,
makes her want to love him.

With a kiss, her head spins,
she's at a lost most of the time.
She wants to believe every word he says,
She's too concern that it might be a lie.

It's not that she doubts,
It's because she's been hurt too many times to count.
Her walls are so high up,
climbing up would risk loosing a limb.
But she still wants to love him.

She doesn't want to keep him waiting, hoping,
especially since he has certain plans in life.
She isn't sure that she'd be a good fit for him.
But she has a strong enough feeling to want to keep him by her side.

After so many disappointments and lies,
she smiles but the chaos in her mind is up to the brim.
And out of all that mess,
she feels that she really, really wants to learn to love him.

Is it okay for me to fall for you?
