Let us love in
fields
As cricket children
Rubbing our tangle
Of limbs and legs
To make a symphony
In dew and milkweed
Let us make ourselves
As dragonfly flight
Of furious beating wings
Over and over
Each time more desperate
Than the last
Until spent we crash
Into the sunset
Let us love as gods and goddesses
As mortals only glimpse in dreams
All nature our palette
Our bodies painted
Ochre, cerulean, celadon
Make the wind my song
Play along my secrets
A symphony of tongue and fingers
Let us wrap the unsuspecting spider
In our spinnerets
And dangle by our limbs
Making starlight woven sex
Until we tumble sated
Beneath the shadows
Of the rising moon
