The flowerbed is still but
waking as my fingers
openly taste the digging,
There’s moss covered
mud by where I sit and listen
again, to the sweet dark-eyed junco;
I bid farewell to winter’s tiny old pal,
as he walks near, hear ♪ as
the robin redbreast has risen.

Its amazing that when you spot one of them, it takes you by surprise, and then suddenly the air is filled with all the sounds and signs of spring.
I don't know how that happens, but it is lovely. :)

Thank you so much. :) It has been a long winter. Spring is here and it is an awesome feeling. Now I have to spare myself some time away from writing to go out and enjoy more of it this evening. I have weed pulling duties. I love my garden and all the birdies that hang out with me there.
