You crystalize myth and fantasy to perfection here Toni. I saw something on the news about a frozen geyser recently, a beautiful manifestation of harsh weather conditions. "Pale Colossus" strikes that kind of awe, and more.

I think you have caught the key essence of the joy of Water features, although I am assuming the reference to ice is based on it being end of winter in your hemisphere.
