Kidnapped

He’s here.
I know it.
I feel it.

Somewhere,
in the shadows,
he waits.

Patiently,
Happily,
He’ll get me soon.

I can’t run
forever.
He’ll catch me.

Then after he has
caught me, his
fun begins.

But,
I have to try,
For my sake.

Carefully,
I walk,
Slowly forward.

I’m halfway
through the dark,
Damp alley.

Mother said he
wouldn't find
me here.

She said it will
all be fine and
I will be safe at home soon.

But he promised he would
find me.  He promised me,
He always keeps his promises.

The alley seems
endless, but I’m almost
there.

My heart starts to beat rapidly,
There’s a familiar smell in the air just like before.
Just like…..

He comes up behind me fast and clamps a rag over my mouth.
I can barely breathe but I can still feel the chloroform burn my nose.
He holds me tightly to his chest keeping me from leaving.

I know it’s over, he has won.  He found me.
As my eyes start to close he leans down and whispers softly,
“Little girl, little girl, thought you could escape from me again?”
