The Cold Grey Dawn
The cold grey dawn
was setting in
shattered bodies
moaning wind
all that remained
were the cries
orphaned children
asking why
widowed mothers
take to the streets
must now provide
for families needs
while those who sit
in offices high
turn their back
on those who died
was setting in
shattered bodies
moaning wind
all that remained
were the cries
orphaned children
asking why
widowed mothers
take to the streets
must now provide
for families needs
while those who sit
in offices high
turn their back
on those who died

And the rich keep getting richer. This is a very succinct view of a widespread social and economic inequality in this country. Just wish there were more with your kind of compassion, Scot.

Thanks Crow, It is truly a stain upon our society , how our respective governments treat those whom they send to enforce their foreign policy. sadly, this situation will probably never change.

I'm getting some very powerful imagery with this. Your words are few, but the story is great. Very succinct and it makes my heart ache for those left in the wake of war.
