Patience (finally!)
The light through my office window
finally penetrates the darkness.
It has been there plenty of times
but my eyes have finally noticed.
I finally breathe, calm, serene,
looking around, what else have I missed?
Only anywhere from anything to everything.
The grass is a gentle shade of pale green.
The sky a soothing shade of blue.
The sounds of stray birds seem to fill the air
like a precursor to the warmth of June.
My heart is beating normal,
not 1000 miles an hour,
in anticipation for
a giant field of flowers.
And my finally mind remembers
the main ingredient
for anything to grow
is patience
…finally!
finally penetrates the darkness.
It has been there plenty of times
but my eyes have finally noticed.
I finally breathe, calm, serene,
looking around, what else have I missed?
Only anywhere from anything to everything.
The grass is a gentle shade of pale green.
The sky a soothing shade of blue.
The sounds of stray birds seem to fill the air
like a precursor to the warmth of June.
My heart is beating normal,
not 1000 miles an hour,
in anticipation for
a giant field of flowers.
And my finally mind remembers
the main ingredient
for anything to grow
is patience
…finally!
