That Can't Be

For a moment let's pretend we haven't gone off the deep end
lost in the doubt and deceit in the crowds
any second we could break, but just for now we'll bend
try to make it work again
revive what little hope is left

It's all too much to test the limits of love
though I've never known it to have ever shown it's face
hiding out of fear, or is it disgrace?
call it off and all break down, then call it grace in motion
No,no,no...no,no,no
I know princesses don't become queens in this twisted society
I've seen the battles wounds that scar predicted by fortune tellers
They said kings would lose their way searching for a grander fate
and leave their hopes and dreams gathering dust in the cellars
No,no,no... no,no,no
that can't be, I refuse to breathe in this poison we drink
I've gotta break the curse, set us free, to discover the real me

For the sake of sanity let's admit we haven't seen the truth
darkened by the fog and mist clouding over this
it's a promise that I make, something i give but do not take
we will find our home, my friends
speak life into the night so dead

No,no,no... oh,oh...
no, no, no... don't let go...
we've got a long road ahead
say there's many voices in your head
but you're healed, you see,  that can't be
