Lone Soul
A lone soul
Gasp at your mis-existence
Jet black mirrors
And empty halls.
Steady fires burn
From past wounds
Ever present scars
Just a reminder now
Smile
You've seen the dark
Felt its embrace
Like the snakes kiss
Let it run through your veins
Talk with ghosts you haunt
Fear the skeletons you hide
Misfortune has graced you
Blessed may you be
Cant you see it?
Such a brilliant sparkle to your eyes
Cast a shallow existence
Over good-men's souls
Keep your heart close
Keep your enemies closer
Twist me and feel me from the inside
But Im not surprised you wont
Two-as-One is two too many for you
But don't die
Don't let it take such passion in your soul
Too much for flesh to contain
Comfort is an illusion
Why me?
Why not you?
I've caught myself again
Lost in thoughts
Of harsh truths and misfortunes
Gasp at your mis-existence
Jet black mirrors
And empty halls.
Steady fires burn
From past wounds
Ever present scars
Just a reminder now
Smile
You've seen the dark
Felt its embrace
Like the snakes kiss
Let it run through your veins
Talk with ghosts you haunt
Fear the skeletons you hide
Misfortune has graced you
Blessed may you be
Cant you see it?
Such a brilliant sparkle to your eyes
Cast a shallow existence
Over good-men's souls
Keep your heart close
Keep your enemies closer
Twist me and feel me from the inside
But Im not surprised you wont
Two-as-One is two too many for you
But don't die
Don't let it take such passion in your soul
Too much for flesh to contain
Comfort is an illusion
Why me?
Why not you?
I've caught myself again
Lost in thoughts
Of harsh truths and misfortunes
