Other Plans -unfinished-
It's been almost four years,
Since I saw you last.
The man who gave me life,
Has been laid to rest.
And I hope you're watching me,
Write you this song.
I'll be there soon dad,
No, life doesn't last that long.
You never really talked much
but your silence screamed so loud.
I can't help but miss you,
I hope I made you proud.
I don't expect you to forgive me,
For the harsh things I said,
But i always thought you'd be here,
life had other plans instead.
I still remember the day,
When i brought home my first drum.
you had a few tricks up your sleeve,
I wish i could show you what i have become.
Chords strum under my fingers,
as our memories become songs.
Your presence still lingers,
Your arms around me so strong.
