I shall close the eyes of my soul
so that none may see
cold nights rain drumming
against rusted steel
these stale insecurities
that separates you from me
I shall cover the ears of my heart
so I may not hear
the drowning of your hurt
the mocking of my fear
I shall sever these chains of life
this incessant desolate beating
cursed is my destiny
the fiber of my being

I don't know if you meant this or not, but i empathize with you. However, I learned that death causes more pain, even after yours is gone.
