I Hear...
the sound of joy and laughter
it can drown out squeals of pain
and when darkness is suppressed
only brightness will remain...
the sound of a heart beating
pounding out its proof of life
until it's sound subsides suddenly
when hardship twists a knife...
the sound of music can soothe
and it can tame the savage too
but if the music were to die
turmoil could come oozing through...
the sound of my inner voice
trying to guide me along my way
with so much contradiction a midst
I heed every word those voices relay...
**the sound of silence
is such a deafening tone;
with sorrows isolating us
when tears are cried alone...
the sound of my soul as it's screams
for me to let my spirit free
and stop trying to change into someone
that other people want me to be ...
now I've listened intently to the universe
after doing so this is what I construe
that if I want to enjoy peace and harmony
then I must be prepared to spread some too...
