Grandpa
I still remember that day the day you went away
I never spent much time with you,
but the time I did was just enough
before you got sick
I remember every sunday trying to get dad to go with you
I remember you still had meat on your bones
I remember my seventh christmas when you gave me that pink toy pony
I didn't like it that much but I still played with it
I remember the words you said to me a while before you left
you said on your wedding day I want to buy you your 'white' wedding dress
it was only a week later when I understood what you meant
I don't think I'll ever forget that day
I miss how we played dominos on the lounge table
I still remember your laugh when you tried to cheat
I'll never forget the birthdays
and I'll never forget you, Grandpa <3
