two doors down
Letters on a page
pen and ink signatures
death threats and phone calls
the decaying of old bones
and thinning blood
she’s dying
trying to find a reason to smile
on the days blood is not
thicker than water
Technology tinkering
all the equations
take us back to zero
Daydream assaults plague my mind
of the things I would do
to protect the ones I love
We talk
in vacant voices
having seen our share of hell
that somehow never really lets us leave
but we’ve learnt to brush off
under the pretence we’ll be fine
Bloodlust chemistry
out of our control
silent rooms and loneliness
two houses apart
if she dies there
she’ll die alone
And I worry of blood stained carpets
and insanity
no domestic violence order
can cure
