Not That Bad

We tell ourselves
"It's not that bad."
All the bad things that we do.
Every day we make mistakes,
But again we tell ourselves
"It's not that bad."
We do drugs, we drink.
But hey, it's not that bad.
Just think about the fun and great times that we've had.
All the time we disobey our mother and our dad.
I guess we could be doing worse, so
"Hey it's not that bad."
When will we draw the line and stop the reassurance.
When will we finally be done
and stop this reoccurence.
You shoot up.
What else is worse?
Someone could be dead.
What could be worse, driving drunk?
Or shooting someone in the head?
We tell ourselves
"It's not that bad"
for everything we do.
Sometimes you need to look at the bad.
Know that it comes from you.
