River of you

The streams current gets stronger as the rain falls
It turns this slow stream into a river
Overflowing with emotions
As the rain keeps falling

I lose all my safety gear
As I drift on this current
Where will I finally drown
I sink to the bottom every now and then

Twirled and mixed with feelings
Can I grab onto a branch and escape this river that is you
Can I pull myself out
Or am I stuck here to drown

I need to get out of this river
This river is stronger than the stream it used to be
Even though I thought I would be fine
You pushed me until I tried to cross the stream in the rain

Not knowing I would slip
You take me and consume me
Feeling something even if its just cold
Is great when you thought you were numb
