Black Sky and Sun

- Black Sky and Sun -

The old world of times past hath passed away,
This world is a transition from alpha to omega!
I am the prophetess and herald of a dawning day,
And its’ prophet as well as its’ anointed messiah.
I come for mine own, and to take what is mine…
No thief in the night; god and goddess sublime,
Is what I am, and so my word shall be sung out.
Heed me if thou art wise, and end all thy doubt!

Oh gods and muses and angels on high,
Lend me thy eloquence as I recite these verses!
Oh devils and demons and spirits below,
Witness, this darkness; darker, than any curses!
I see many things with my spirit’s lidless eye,
Things good and evil, of blessings and of woe!
Like prophetesses of old, I tell what I behold,
For the wise to learn and see and understand…
And my voice must be bold: fiery, never cold.
Even when before Hell itself I choose to stand!
And the infernal realms bow in obeisance right,
Before my darkness, before my blackest night!
One day, the infernal brethren shall rise again,
And I will lead them to their everlasting glory.
I shall show this world all of pleasure and pain,
And write in blood and ashes my grand story!
Atlantis perished from water in bygone times,
Rome perished from fire set to poetic rhymes.
What shall they say of this age and its’ doom?
Whatever they choose to write upon its’ tomb!

I am water; I am fire, in sanctity and desecration!
I am life and death, abomination and desolation,
Yet also paradise and redemption for my children!
Let the world end that I may raise up my garden.

So let the gods and devils do what they must,
I shall see that my words endure beyond all…
Even should this universe rend itself into dust!
I was there since its’ dawn, since man’s fall…
And, how many times they have arisen anew!
Let water come, let fire blaze, let all be done.
I shall not alter my course; it is firm and true,
And I shall not cease until my victory is won.
I hath been a mother, a sister, a lover as well,
A father, a brother, and the very god of Hell!
I was there when Atlantis had sunk most low,
And the winds of divine tempest had to blow.
I was there when Rome blazed until broken…
When I offered to the gods, sacrificial token!
I sang for the water, and I sang for the flame,
And now I prepare this song of divine wrath.
To whom shall I dedicate this song of death?
For those who hurt me, lied to me, betrayed,
And worse still, I sing of flood and fiery bath.
Let it be their fate to listen, unto final breath!

I am water; I am fire, in sanctity and desecration!
I am life and death, abomination and desolation,
Yet also paradise and redemption for my children!
Let the world end that I may raise up my garden.

Oh darkness and light, all good and evil,
Lend me thy power as I recite the mighty spells!
Oh destruction and creation; foul and fair,
Witness, this darkness, as it poisons pure wells!
No virtue is inviolate, no nobility without an ill,
All art as subjects to earth, water, fire, and air!
Like sorcerers and sorceresses of old, I work,
My will upon the canvas of the world as it is…
I shall make day night, as all light shall be dark.
Beyond order and chaos, I will create my bliss!
Even the heavens will heed, and do as I so bid,
Else, even the angels, shall be burned and bled!
One day, the infernal brethren shall rise on up,
And at the holiest of tables I shall thereon sit.
From the most precious grail, I will thence sup,
And regale the very gods with my cunning wit!
I will not be denied, for I have sacrificed great,
To call forth: darkness, and light, from the gate.
What shall they say of bold deeds yet undone?
Let them so say it beneath a black sky and sun!
