To live rather than be alive

I’ll miss moments in the past
But I’ll always long for the future more
And shall I never have regrets
I’ll cherish old memories
But I’ll make new ones
I’ll learn more than I ever knew
And still thirst for more
I’ll travel the world for years
And still wish to see more
I’ll see all sides of humans
But I know to every shadow of darkness there is light
I’ll go through pain and sadness
But revel in happiness and joy
I wish to be something more
But in all states of myself
I’ll always love myself
I’ll always love the world
And once again despite the horrors
I’ll fall back in love with humanity
