In the Rising Smoke
Gently the waves kissed the shore
and there you touched me
told me I was yours
the moon shown bright on that silver night
I was loved and for once it felt right
The drums beat loud as we danced around
around and around that great fire
barefoot on the sand we danced spellbound
and you held my hand
as we cast our circle in the sand
In the flames I saw the passion
and I felt the warmth of peace
it was there I found true compassion
amongst our good companions by the sea
one with the earth, we were finally free
In the rising smoke
I could see our future
you held my hand and softly spoke
gently holding me to you,
"We were always meant to be like this
sacredly united so close our souls can kiss"
and there you touched me
told me I was yours
the moon shown bright on that silver night
I was loved and for once it felt right
The drums beat loud as we danced around
around and around that great fire
barefoot on the sand we danced spellbound
and you held my hand
as we cast our circle in the sand
In the flames I saw the passion
and I felt the warmth of peace
it was there I found true compassion
amongst our good companions by the sea
one with the earth, we were finally free
In the rising smoke
I could see our future
you held my hand and softly spoke
gently holding me to you,
"We were always meant to be like this
sacredly united so close our souls can kiss"
