Instant attraction struck me down
no shock really in what I found
a physical surge impossible to hide
seeking a way to curb the tide

Oh yes I am favoring a steamy dance
not deluded that it leads to any deep romance
maybe a fool to even think
that you would desire this masculine drink

Yet even a fool may get his day
could it be in your auspices I may yet play
so intent on a path so many aspire
the smile on your face taking me ever so higher

As you swayed to the music suitors' advances being made
me wondering though how many shall I wade
to bask in your beauty even if just a minute in time
never been patient enough to stand in line

So as the holiday spirit makes itself known
at least I am comforted with creative seeds being sown
inspiration to write a poem about you
shelter from the cold and a remedy to holiday blues
