Your Plans
I know your plans.
You have mentioned them to me many times.
You speak of them casually,
As if any average person
Plans to kill themselves in twenty years.
But do not think that it comes without consequence.
Each day,
Knowing these plans scalds my mind,
Each thought tainted with despair.
The words “Nothing really matters”
Echo throughout my head.
I do not know if I can help at all in two decades,
But die knowing what you have done,
And whom you have killed.
You have mentioned them to me many times.
You speak of them casually,
As if any average person
Plans to kill themselves in twenty years.
But do not think that it comes without consequence.
Each day,
Knowing these plans scalds my mind,
Each thought tainted with despair.
The words “Nothing really matters”
Echo throughout my head.
I do not know if I can help at all in two decades,
But die knowing what you have done,
And whom you have killed.
