bad gavel

something no one pays any mind to    
except to get rid of    
in an attempt    
to see if any good is left over    
after    
   
bellybutton lint    
cigarette butt    
bottle cap    
that stuff at the bottom of the pocket    
in ain't been washed in weeks jeans    
that just don't look enough like reefer anymore    
to take to the head    
   
but if pollutants promote change    
walmarts are full of non believers    
in late december    
and there are no stupid questions    
don't we all serve a purpose?    
even if the good things we throw away    
still end up in the dump
