God's Graffiti
Condemnation screaming at me
On the side of the street
Black and white tiled letters
Bitter tones not so discreet
Local churches police communities
With their passive aggressive play
Damning the innocent to flames
Passing by on the highway
Nonchalantly placed
But still ever so convenient
God's graffiti shoots us down
While portraying something decent
Flocks of brain-dead sheep
Play traffic cones for our souls
Subtly guiding our subconscious
With dark intentions toward control
Are there any differences
Between a church sign and a billboard?
Salvation and corporate franchise?
Getting full from fast food or the Lord?
Nonchalantly placed
But still ever so convenient
God's graffiti shoots us down
While portraying something decent
On the side of the street
Black and white tiled letters
Bitter tones not so discreet
Local churches police communities
With their passive aggressive play
Damning the innocent to flames
Passing by on the highway
Nonchalantly placed
But still ever so convenient
God's graffiti shoots us down
While portraying something decent
Flocks of brain-dead sheep
Play traffic cones for our souls
Subtly guiding our subconscious
With dark intentions toward control
Are there any differences
Between a church sign and a billboard?
Salvation and corporate franchise?
Getting full from fast food or the Lord?
Nonchalantly placed
But still ever so convenient
God's graffiti shoots us down
While portraying something decent
