This Is
I feel your arms around me.
Your hand
Finding its place on my shoulder
As I cuddle next to you.
Beads of sweat
Still glistening.
Skin against skin.
Legs intertwined.
You kiss me
Lightly
And hold me tightly.
We laugh.
We talk
Of anything and everything.
Your heartbeat
Serenades me
As we fall softly
Into sleep.
The only other sound
In the silence
Is our beathing.
And I know...
This is peace.
This is love.

The intention was to make it an observation as being two separate things in that moment that still connect, making the idea of love being peace implied but still its own.
