Does Cupid miss???

A cherub created for one reason,

you'd think archery was instinctive to him.

Over countless years

those arrows of his have found their mark

amongst this giant sea of hearts

we call Earth...Life...

He does aim for the heart right?

Unknown to the target,the arrow pierces,

and fills each one with infinite love-

Well I'm living proof that it is possible

for some of those arrows to go astray.

On occasion, every thousand years or so,

he readies his bow,

takes aim,

and fires cockeyed toward that unfortunate individual.

A rogue Cupid arrow can be a dangerous thing.

Striking the jugular,to bleed out any existing love.

Hitting the brain to create a hurricane

of over analytical,emotional thoughts.

Or just missing completely,to leave alone

the attended target forever.

I still wonder what his reaction was,each time

he frantically kept firing

only to see the utter chaos he was inflicting

upon my world.

I'm sure it was like most I come in contact with.

He probably just shrugged

and flew away.
