say something

 Him
Time passes really slowly here
Not that you’d notice
Well you are not always here
I am always here
I have nothing but time
And the power to blink
I can stare at you for ages
Through firmly closed eyelids
I can smell that fragrance
By Cacharel – your favourite
You smile a lot, these days
But why won’t you talk to me

Her
Time passes really slowly here
Not that you’d notice
You’re, just always here
For me it’s not easy anymore
But it’s all that I have now
Wife becomes designated visitor
Sometimes it’s promotion
Sometimes it’s demotion
I am less intimate with you
Than your bloody nurse
They say it’s you, but it’s me
Just going through the motions

Him
Oh dear! The power of blink
If I could I would apologise
I didn’t really mean it
When I told you, to blink off
I was feeling frustrated

Her
You were always the talker
I was always the better listner
Its all so frustrating, but,
If you tell me to blink off again
I will do just that.

Him
They said I might hear you
But I hear nothing
Speak to me or blink off

Her   ------------------------------------                  I warned you
