The Litany
A litany of words flow through my brain
No quiet, no peace
Until I put them to pen
Illusion, reclusion
All noise pollution
A forest of words
I make my way through them
Fire, desire, passion
A maze of words
Demanding satisfaction
A litany of words
Make my head whirl
Speak us sweet Crimsin
You're our girl
Death, darkness and betrayel
Speak my litany
Sweet Crimsin
Prove you are faithful
A desert of words
Water just trickling
Light, love, life
My words battling
To see which will win victory
Light, dark, torn from within
A litany of words
Come at me again and again
Heaven, hell, God and the devil
I'm adrift in limbo
Not knowing which shore to swim to
In the beginning the word was and the word was with God
Choosing my words wisely
Being accountable for each one
So carefullly I wade through this litany
I pray for my indecision
God will forgive me
A whole litany of words flow to mind
Earth, wind, rain and fire
I wonder of our Father's true desires
His words so symbolic
I seek to understand him with my logic
Heart, love and mercy
My Father's words flowing
He hasn't deserted me
My mind quiet for the moment
This litany at an end
Penned by a poet.
