~Run~

A man and his box
A long way from home
Telling stories of aliens
Robotic men and Rome

This man took his box
Mad as he was
And ran far away
Escaping his flaws

A significant sound
This box created
The man ran again
I knew he was ill-fated

He brought me along
Only for a short time
But again we ran
Escaping our crime

He told me the story
Of others like he
Who they were
And what they would be

A tear was never shed
By this shell of a man
His eyes were too heavy
And so again we ran

We made a stop
Back to his past
And we both knew
It would be my last

When he left
I put his memory on a shelf
I'll never forget the man
Who ran from himself
