Butterfly Wishes

she has emerged
slowly delicately
a flower blooming
blossoming
opening
expanding
her wings push against
the last fragments of
her previous self
and she is free
to confidently go where
she pleases
to ride the breezes
and soar

not even the harshest wind
will brush the powder
from her new found wings
