What have we done?
We are humans they say
We make mistakes they say
Yet what do we do to fix that?
All we do is ruin things,
feelings, earth, lives.
Why must we be a selfish species?
No one realizes how much greater,
happier earth would be without us,
Do they?
We pollute, we use things,
for our own selfish deeds.
Will we stop?
Many of us find a desire to
destroy an enemy, because we do not think of them as humans.
Is it worth it?
That is what makes us people,
Hating each other as well as ourselves.
Why?
We want to be happy,
We think these selfish things will make us happy?
Are we really?

Indeed, we like so much to consider ourselves some "crown of creation" we never take the time to realize this world would be better off without us humans...throughout the ages, many species appeared, thrived for some millenia and then became extinct.
Thus far, we humans exhibit the behaviour of bacteria, mindlessly devouring everything for the sake of profit, fame, conquest. Maybe one day we'll realize that peaceful co-existence is what makes a species viable...this, or we and all our delusions become not even a memory, time will tell.
