Don't Fear The Darkness

A child is born on a tragic day
His parents don’t know what to say
They love him so much
Even though they have a hunch
He may hold some dark secret
But even though they over-look it
He finds out what happened on the day of his birth
About his first day on this earth

So, don’t fear the dark; for it will be lighter
Everything will rise and shine
When morning comes it will be brighter

The same young man meets his final end
But his true life can now begin
As his soul wanders into the darkness
He has no everlasting, godly harness
Life can be so fragile
Shot down my a criminal
In the dead of night
Even though it ain’t right
He drifts away
To his destiny today

The darkness is the key
That brings out the part of me
This life must end
As the hearts of men have sinned
The blackness of my heart
Brings a taste that is tart
To my one and only life
It was filled with pain and strife

His newly found powers
Only desire to devour
The souls of the dead
From him it is said
If you don’t believe him just ask the reaper
That is if you want to take this story deeper
