I long to escape with ease
And cheat life
A thirst
To rise
Then suddenly vanish with the clouds
The birds are blessed
Not me
For I have been damned
With a ground-bound body
To soar deep into the sky
Whenever I wish to!
Is what I want
Than rather have to rely
On my feet
They play no part
In fulfilling my wish
To escape with ease
And cheat life

I know somewhat how you feel, Nadia. Unfortunately there seems to be no conclusive way to escape the prison of the flesh except through prayer, if your so inclined. The only other respite is through pleasure, however fleeting that might be. It's definitely worth the effort, body and soul. Fine poem.
