Sit and Wait
I sit and wait
He's got his distractions
And I've just got myself
Me and my thoughts
Sitting tight
Packed in a box
I bury my head in the dark
And sit and wonder
If he knows
How my yearning for him
Still grows and grows
When words are spat
I lose myself
Feelings barge in with haste
There is never time to think
Never time
To step back and reflect
And stop the wordy neglect
To another human being
Until it's too late
I realise
Through hale or shine
I still feel the same

How I describe him
quick message; hello all! I've taken a break for a few months as I've just started a new job hence why I haven't written anything, anyway I've made a comeback with a short and sweet love poem, hope you all like it. There will be more work this week. Hope you all had a nice Valentine's day! -N

I long to escape with ease
And cheat life
A thirst
To rise
Then suddenly vanish with the clouds
The birds are blessed
Not me
For I have been damned
With a ground-bound body
To soar deep into the sky
Whenever I wish to!
Is what I want
Than rather have to rely
On my feet
They play no part
In fulfilling my wish
To escape with ease
And cheat life
A thirst
To rise

The warmth of you
Wrap yourself with me
Under my toasty knit blanket
I never loved anyone like you
Whilst frosty crystals float
On the roof above us
It's a different world
In your arms
The gleaming inferno
Swaying in the fireplace
So perfect, So in place
Comforting silence
I hear you breathing
Our lips lock
Sweet brown sugar
You hold me tight
Hot gingerbread
I know I'm in love
I feel as high
As the stars above
I feel precious and beautiful
When I'm in your warmth
Wrapped in your protection

Tell me
What can a strong woman do
With a heart that's been shot down
And dragged by her feet?
Sorrow feeds me every night.
I am never left to starve

Ocean blue eyes
I'm in love with a Dutchman
It's no surprise
The beauty in his personality
Caught me off guard
We talked a lot online
And I fell for him hard
A sense of humour "they lack"
