Through a Mother's Eyes (part II)

Through a mother's eyes,
Is a little girl who angrily replies,
"Why do we have to move away from here?"
She does not understand, for the answers are not very clear,
Does my mother not understand that she is moving me away from all of my friends,
She will not change her mind, her decision is final, and she dare not bend,

Through a mother's eyes,
Is a teenage girl who has been led a bunch of lies,
Her body filled with all kinds of drugs and toxins,
This is all she knows, only deceit and sin,
For this is what she has been taught,
Everything will be okay, just as long as she does not get caught,

Through a mother's eyes,
Here almost grown daughter now sits in front of her and cries,
The mother's so-called boyfriend had done the unthinkable,
Making this young girl left feeling quite miserable,
Maybe this is why she is wasted much of the time, so that she does not have to see,
Her mother not knowing exactly which one to believe,
This man was the one who has so many times in the past deceived,
And now it is her daughter that sits in front of her only to beg and plea,

Through a mother's eyes,
Comes the flood of tears as she turns and looks up into the deep blue sky,
She says a prayer for her daughter who has just passed, and mother does not understand why,
Why did her little girl have to resort to drugs in order to get by?
Why did this woman choose not to believe her own daughter or at least give it a try,
Instead, she chose not to, and now her poor baby has gone away to die!
