Smiles go round
One on each face
But they don't belong
In this terrible place
Laughs can be heard
Spilling from pale lips
But when they're not looking
Her permanent smile slips
It's almost over now
To this, she is prone
They came and had fun
Once again, she's all alone
She feared this would happen
As the last walks out the door
She prays each time
But there's never any more
New souls will arrive soon
A fake smile she must make
They'll stay just for a bit
But a piece of her, they'll take
She always gets too close
They tear her apart
Every time they leave
It rips out her heart
One on each face
But they don't belong
In this terrible place
Laughs can be heard
Spilling from pale lips
But when they're not looking
Her permanent smile slips
It's almost over now
To this, she is prone
They came and had fun
Once again, she's all alone
She feared this would happen
As the last walks out the door
She prays each time
But there's never any more
New souls will arrive soon
A fake smile she must make
They'll stay just for a bit
But a piece of her, they'll take
She always gets too close
They tear her apart
Every time they leave
It rips out her heart
