nostalgia

Remember when...

Coke was just a drink,
Molly was just a name.
Truth was always told
Dares were never a game.

Sex was something special,
Love was even better.
Now they mean the same thing
Worn out like a sweater.

People gave gifts,
Expecting no return,
Now you're obligated,
Or you're a selfish worm.

Grudges were never held,
Like babies often were,
Now revenge is all you think,
Concentrating on that war.

Wars were part of history,
and not happening all around.
Wake up bitch , you're surrounded !
Get handcuffed to the ground.

You used to feel secure,
and respected mother nature.
Now you're strapped with weapons,
Bombs = pollution = danger.

Change was 'supposed' to be 'good',
Everyone had our backs.
The good ole' U.S. of A.
Now the main target of attack.

We used to say 'I love you',
It had a genuine meaning.
Now it's a text message
Over-used without a feelin
