The Hatchback of Motor Dame

It was a short-lived moment
Breaking and entering never felt so right
Faceless and painless
Waking up from a dream that felt so real.
I've been singing old anthems,
And boy oh boy, do I hate punk music.
It's all the same, and I'm ashamed to be part of the culture.
I've lost my fingers to the crippling cold.
I've lost my heart to this heartless world.
I've gained nothing if not a mindset
which is terribly weak, and absolutely pathetic.
Great Scott,
How I wonder what I've done
To deserve this troubling misery.
Everything sucks
I just want to fuck
And then forget who I am in the first place.
My numbness gains ground and it steals my breath,
and now it's alien to inhale or exhale.
I'll fall asleep and I won't wake up again
Until the end of spring,
Where my mindset will be rewritten,
And then I'll age some years by then,
And then I'll die.
I'll fall asleep,
And I won't wake up again
Until the end of spring,
Where my mindset
Will be rewritten,
And I'll have aged some years by then,
And then I'll die.
