Innocence Lost (9/11)
My father cried
As the towers fell.
A child’s eyes bestowed
Upon the fiery depths of hell.
Screams echoed
Through the static of the television.
An innocence lost
Within every age across the nation.
A narrow mind destroyed
The open hearts of the many.
Now the trust diminished,
And the kind trustful souls vary.
As the towers fell.
A child’s eyes bestowed
Upon the fiery depths of hell.
Screams echoed
Through the static of the television.
An innocence lost
Within every age across the nation.
A narrow mind destroyed
The open hearts of the many.
Now the trust diminished,
And the kind trustful souls vary.
