falling upward
One foot in front of the next
I don't look down
I'm scared but without hesitation
I took a deep breath
my dress catches in the wind
arms held open
hair blows
I've done everything wrong
so I'm letting go
I exhale
eyes closed
The breath of the morning sticks to my skin
progressing to the ledge
movie reels playing my head
watching the life I was afraid to live
but I'm trembling afraid to take the next step
Walking on fate
In the hands of the fallen I plummet
Uncontrollably my soul departs
Falling upward I've been torn apart
With an innocence that was there all along
Buried in the shadows of my demented ways
My body soulless arms and legs waving on the way down
Screams coming from my mouth
Smashing down
I've been relieved of my demon's
heaven bond
I don't look down
I'm scared but without hesitation
I took a deep breath
my dress catches in the wind
arms held open
hair blows
I've done everything wrong
so I'm letting go
I exhale
eyes closed
The breath of the morning sticks to my skin
progressing to the ledge
movie reels playing my head
watching the life I was afraid to live
but I'm trembling afraid to take the next step
Walking on fate
In the hands of the fallen I plummet
Uncontrollably my soul departs
Falling upward I've been torn apart
With an innocence that was there all along
Buried in the shadows of my demented ways
My body soulless arms and legs waving on the way down
Screams coming from my mouth
Smashing down
I've been relieved of my demon's
heaven bond
