The Host
The Host
You are the host,
The one the world sees.
Everything we do,
Is done by you.
The life you live,
Is not always your choice.
Your life a collection,
Of shared moments.
A collection,
Of masks.
Which to the world,
Are all you.
No difference,
No change.
To them,
We're the same.
You take the blame,
That is unjustly yours.
We comfort,
We try.
But we are the hurt,
We can ruin, the chance to gain.
And only a poison,
Can cure the cancer.
You are the host,
The one the world sees.
Everything we do,
Is done by you.
The life you live,
Is not always your choice.
Your life a collection,
Of shared moments.
A collection,
Of masks.
Which to the world,
Are all you.
No difference,
No change.
To them,
We're the same.
You take the blame,
That is unjustly yours.
We comfort,
We try.
But we are the hurt,
We can ruin, the chance to gain.
And only a poison,
Can cure the cancer.
