They Don't Know, So Why Do We?
Innocent starlight,
Burning bright in the absence of sight.
Do they know direction? Is there wrong or right?
Simply balls of fiery plight enlightening the blackened abyss,
A hope for all in this void of darkness.
Do they know emotion? Can they feel joy or sadness?
They float there, alone in the abysmal air.
They know no different, no change, no truth, no dare.
Do they know thought? Do they have judgments to bear?
They do not, we as people stare at them each passing night
As we search for hope and belonging and the things that make us feel right.
They, the stars, like the trees, the grass, the earth, the planets know not of anything.
They are simplistic, they do not know direction, nor right or wrong. They have no feeling
Not aware of joy or sadness. They brighten the dismal world around them without a care.
They do not think or pass judgment, only brilliance to share.
They have a peaceful and simple existence without such entities,
So why do we? Why live with such things when all they cause are insanities?
Burning bright in the absence of sight.
Do they know direction? Is there wrong or right?
Simply balls of fiery plight enlightening the blackened abyss,
A hope for all in this void of darkness.
Do they know emotion? Can they feel joy or sadness?
They float there, alone in the abysmal air.
They know no different, no change, no truth, no dare.
Do they know thought? Do they have judgments to bear?
