Deserve
They walk along in night's mystery
Her shadows at a different degree
Because she's not walking in their line
No, she's stupidly trailing behind
Her foot steps don't make a sound
They tend forget she's around
Not over their laughs and their jokes
As she sits and silently chokes
She opens her failing mouth
And words forget to tumble out
It's like she doesn't have the letters
To make herself feel better
But even as she shoots at the clock
The hour hand gives a silent tock
She can't persist, the minutes beckon
She's only swallowing seconds
Times change, but she's still sideways
Her body trailing, as her minds says
"Walk slower, trip, stay behind,
You don't deserve to walk in that line."
Her shadows at a different degree
Because she's not walking in their line
No, she's stupidly trailing behind
Her foot steps don't make a sound
They tend forget she's around
Not over their laughs and their jokes
As she sits and silently chokes

And words forget to tumble out
It's like she doesn't have the letters

The hour hand gives a silent tock
