Crossroads
It is a thin line between wrong or right
The wisdom of forgiving or forgetting a mistake
Standing in the dark or stepping to the light
Condemned to Hell or viewing those Pearly Gates
It is a whispered scream in the dead of night.
It is a breath not taken in or exhaled
A raven haired beauty behind a black veil
It is a single tear as the heart feels impaled
Forever weighing the truth with blinded scales
The muzzle of indifference that leaves one broken, bleeding
It is a bruised mirror image, who weeps of abuse overcame
A nation’s intolerances, history that keeps repeating
It is the time to make a difference and quit laying blame.
