Beware of haiku! When you're finally addicted to them your will never be able to do other forms anymore :-). My trying to get longer poems started mostly ends in cutting them down to haiku :-). It's like clipping bonsais ...

So true! I am addicted! I think a haiku is like a piece of art. In three lines the writer can script a 1000 thoughts and images.
