Time Killer

I've got too much of it right now
And it keeps on slowing down
Why don't we make it go faster
Till it gets us what we're after
We can form some clever plots
Or make small talk and what not
Anything to get away
And lose some minutes of the day
There's space and we need filling
Seems right to make a killing
If we can watch hours burst
I'm sure it'll quench our thirst
I'll cut this moment with a knife
Smile as you take your slice
Feeding on the ruins of life
Eat as much as you like
Because when things take too long
The feeling can be quite strong
And in order to show patience
Sometimes you must escape it
That's why we exchange familiar words
Alone it would be much worse
We should give time what it deserves
For all the ways it hurts
When cracking you're on the verge of
It only makes sense to be murderous
